No DVD Playback

So it looks like the new Nintendo Wii Console won't have DVD playback. I expect for many it won't be a massive issue.

Most of us a variety of devices in our living rooms or bedrooms and with DVD players being so cheap these days why should they bother going to the time and expense to add them? I'm sure we would have complained if they had to add another £30 onto the retails price taking it over the £200-mark.

Just look what it's doing to Sony's PS3. It appears the delays are due to the issues with the new HD Blu-ray DVD components.

Leaving out DVD shows that Nintendo want to focus on creating a damn fine games console and aren't concerned with non-important features.
