Sony To Cut PS2 Price Ahead of Wii Launch

Sony look set to try to dampen the launch of Nintendo's Wii Console with a 20% price cut in their old PS2 console.

Since the launch of the PS2 six years ago they have sold a staggering 100 million units world wide.

But the Wii still looks to be around half the price of the PS3, although the Sony device will have the Blu-ray High-definition DVD player.

So it's going to be an interesting few months as the games console battle hots up.
