Channel Delays

So the new Nintendo Wii Console has been launched in the US. But hoardes of Wii gamers will be disatisfied to find out that many of the Wii channel features won't be ready for the UK launch.

For instance the Weather Channel won't be ready until 20th December (in the UK that won't matter too much as we all know it'll be cold and cloudy).

Also the news channel won't be ready until 27th January again that shouldn't be an initial as much of it is depressing rubbish.

But the missing functionality I'm concerned about is the Opera Web Browser. Nintendo state "more information about the availability of the browser will be released in the coming weeks".

I was thinking a clean, un-hindered launch was too much to ask for. I suppose at least the Wii has European safety clearance so we should just spend the time actually playing the games and getting used to the controllers before we start concerning ourselves about what's going on outside those four walls.
