Call of Duty 3 Game Review
I just love war games. I must have been one in a former life. And Call of Duty 3 ticks all the boxes I need. If this game doesn’t get your juices flowing and pulse racing I don’t know what will – especially now you’ve got the Wii Remote with it’s affect on game-play and micro speakers in-built.I’m looking forward to the day when they develop a Wii Riffle to use in these games as the Wii Remote just is too small and unlike a real heavy shooter.
The Wii does take these games to a new level as you’re forced to use a combination of controller and Nunchuck to defend yourself in hand-to-hand combat. And when you consider that Call of Duty 3 is set in the period just after the taking of the Normandy beaches where the Allied troops started their real push and over 200,000 allied soldiers loose your lives you will soon realise that this period was a real “pant-filling” one – and Trayarch and Activision have done a good job of bringing that realism and fear to the game. It’s a real shocker of a game.
If you had to ask a real man what he’d buy on Wii Launch day, I’d expect he’d say “Call of Duty 3”! But there is a downside, there’s no multiplayer mode.
