Wii More Popular than PS3

The Guardian is reporting that people are trading in their PS3 and swaping them for Nintendo Wii Consoles.

For their relative costs this is very interesting. Is this soley down to the marketing for the Wii's or is it due to the relative functionality and has the Wii Console given gamers exactly what they're looking for?
